Hanasaku Iroha, a tale of a girl exiled into living in the countryside with her grandmother at an onsen, is being greeted warmly despite lacking magical loli, moeblobs or bouncing breasts, instead opting for the novelty of a storyline which would not be out of place in one of Japan’s lunchtime dramas, coupled with some strikingly good animation and scenery.
