Japanese are wondering who on earth judged a recent “Miss Japan” competition, regarding the parade of supposed belles as average at best.
The girls:
The girls competing range from age 15 to 24, and are supposedly also judged on manners and refinement as well as simple comeliness, perhaps explaining why they look as they do.
The “grand prix” winner, who boasts a TOEIC score of 990, suggesting she may at least be able to introduce herself in English:
Unimpressed observers are now pondering whether “miss” (“missu”) and “mistake” (“missu”) have somehow become mixed up in the meaning of the title.
But it supposed to be about the “beauty within”. Owwww! My ribs ache from laughing so hard.
Face it, you would ask most of these girls out if you met them.
most members here wouldn’t be able to work up the nerve to ask them.
f♥♥k you, they’re not ugly.
“Ugly”, not really. Just “Average”.
Well not something ‘expected’ from the whole Miss thing.
seriously what.
these girls are all pretty cute.
the one who won is atually freaking adorable. she has kind of.. big ears. but whatever. i think ‘imperfections’ are actually kind of endearing.
whatever, you guys can all go back to your airbrushed clones. each to their own, i suppose.
