Convenience store chain Lawson is running a “K-ON!! Fair” featuring various K-ON! themed goods and free gifts.
The event will start (in all 8,847 Japanese stores) on the 19th of October and conclude on the 29th of November. On offer are a variety of K-ON! themed foodstuffs, illustrations, trinkets and apparently even a figure.
Fans will doubtless be hoping this does not end up like the ill-fated Evangelion Lawson store – the choice to make it a nationwide event probably precludes this, although the opposite problem might be in evidence – with so many stores it seems there may only be a dozen fans per store.
FUCKING LOVE THE LAWSON
Every time I’m in Japan, I’m at the Lawson. Wonderful place.
I hope they sell Mugi pickled radishes 🙂
K-ON is THE poster child for tea shops. Why not go for the obvious some more.
And here I was, hoping I’d never seen any K-ON! news again after it ended.
Well, f♥♥k me and my idealistic expectations.
K-on will live forever…
… for the two next years at least, just like Haruhi and Lucky Star
Nope you’re wrong! Haruhi has a storyline, Lucky Star has the punchlines, K-ON! has no reedeming value whatsoever
K-ON is the Spice Girls of Anime. Popular but no redeeming value
^ if it didn’t have any value, I don’t think KyoAni would have loved it to the point of making a second season for it on-the-go, while Lucky Star still doesn’t get one despite being way more popular
Thanks to the classmates of Class 3-2, the fandom shall go on like Touhou’s..
Rabid otaku will rip it to the ground, I bet.
