The investigative prowess of 2ch is once again proven in locating the source of To Aru Majutsu no Index and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun’s Academy city – the city of Tama, in Kanagawa.
As with many anime these days, using real life locations is neither uncommon nor unheard of – fortunately for Railgun Japan’s modern city centres easily pass for futuristic metropolises, perhaps because frequently they are them.
That’s amazing…
I like urban centers, and that looks gorgeous. I’ve always liked features like the minimal raised train tracks, or the 2-flight stairs to pedestrian bridges like you see in Shibuya, or that shot with the bikes under the girders of a… road deck?
Gotta check that place out some time if there are any notable destinations other than sightseeing…
it’s not so much a matter of journeying to find these locations, but simply that they are there and easily accessible to people who already live in the area.
hell, I just saw a map with apartment on it in one episode.
So where’s Judgment HQ?
