A movie adaptation of the long awaited “Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” arc has been announced.
The “Shoushitsu” movie is set to be released theatrically in 2010.
Further details will doubtless be revealed in a series of tedious media stunts and viral marketing initiatives, unless Kadokawa has finally purged the production committee of those responsible for the previous debacle.
The story, which prominently features megane-Nagato and long-haired Haruhi, was previously supposed to have been included in the “new material” which took the place of a proper Haruhi second season, but Kadokawa and Kyoto Animation evidently felt including all eight episodes of Endless Eight took precedence…
Seconded.
If you’re hurt because of EE, dislike Haruhi since then, and still complaining when seeing Haruhi-related posts, JUST SHUT UP, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME REPLYING TO THE POSTS, AND DON’T WATCH THE MOVIE. Isn’t that sooooo simple? Don’t say no but u will actually watch the movie if it DOES come. Even worse, posting worthless crap afterwards. Seriously, anyone who match the criteria above are no different from troller.
I’m amazed at how you can let some bad episode planning ruin a good show for you forever. I mean, the arc they did after EE was actually really good! So you should quit your whining and enjoy this movie..
When a sub finally comes out… grumble… stupid dvd release wait… eva 2.0… grumble…
i have to break it to you but a movie doesn’t fucking work for the Dissappearance of Haruhi. Kyon will have to go to that weird time loop twice for things to be settled. The second time is to prevent himself from being stabbed. GOD DAMN IT WAY TO GO JAPAN! f♥♥k you! At least make it a tv third season! FUCKING GOD DAMNIT!
Alright Smart-ass. If you had really enjoyed the book, maybe you would KNOW that Episodes DON’T WORK for this part of the Series.
Yeah, so he has to travel back another time, but hey, They’ve been doing nothing for a while since the original airing in 2006, so who knows… This movie might be longer!
I’ve come from the future to tell you, yes, the movie is freaking long (161min) and also yes, it’s still too short to work. Third season could have gotten 14*19min=266min and those extra 100min would have really helped. But whatever, we probably won’t ever get an Haruhi related anime again. Ever.
YAY! I really loved this arc. I'm looking forward to seeing it animated. =)
<3 Nagato!
