Sega has announced that popular PSP Vocaloid rhythm game Project Diva is to have an arcade sequel, aptly named “Project Diva Arcade.”
The company will be soliciting original songs for the game from NicoNico Douga in the second half of October, with winners to be announced in November. Doubtless other hit songs will be featured as well.
The game itself will be location tested in January. What kind of arcade installation will be used is not clear.
Since the port will likely be receiving substantial graphical upgrades, an eventual version of the franchise for home consoles does not seem out of the question…

Y-y-yes! Japan is only #3 on my countries to visit list, but when this comes out it may just kick its self into second place!
Anyway, if this game gets ported to consoles, and has some of my favorite sad songs like “Disappearance of Hatsune Miku”, The “Prisoner” series, Luka’s “The Little Mermaid”, all four of the “Servant of Evil” set, and countless others, I shall buy it even if I don’t have a Ps3.
(Yay for having a friend who DOES though. Heh heh heh.)
Oh, but, needs more Luka. I like Miku, but it makes me sad to see so little Luka content. However, I will be more than happy to accept Luka AND Miku from them.
project diva’s miku looks so delicious that i want to eat her
I be it’ll get ported to the 360 and receive tons of DLC, and then everyone will demand a PS3 port which will never happen (for reasons “unknown”).
anything but the 360 and its fucking uncrackable region lock. because if this gets ported to the 360 they WILL region lock it to troll the western world…
