A group of men who bought several girls for roughly ¥750,000 each, and then forcibly rented them out as prostitutes, has been arrested under anti-slavery legislation.
The slavers, a 58-year-old salaryman, a 56-year-old manager of an eating establishment, and one other unidentified man, apparently bought several girls from a supplier in Macao, China, telling the girls they were to be workers in their karaoke snack bar, situated in Chiba.
However, the two girls they bought, at that time 17 and 18, had been tricked and were instead forced to work as prostitutes.
After their purchase in August, it seems it took several months for the matter to come to the attention of authorities, for the arrests took place in December.

The unfortunate girls at least got off lightly in being sent to Japan – it could have been much worse under the circumstances. Very much worse indeed.

Why does it took that long for the authorities to notice such act?
bcuz they care more for “the rock” that has koreans fussing over.

Um… it’s not like they did this through official channels. A couple months is fast in slavery cases like this. Normally it’s years before they’re found out.

Indeed, the guys buying often don’t care to let a ‘good thing end’, so they won’t say anything, it takes nothing short of a cop directly going there and getting an offer to launch an investigation
And people are always talking about how Western men are exploiting Asian women. Japanese men are doing it too!
And people are always talking about how Japanese whalers are exploiting whales. Iceland and Norway whalers are doing it too!
But in Europe they do it on much smaller extend.
Somehow, I don’t think Japanese men exploiting asian women (in general) is news to anyone.
also Their “own” (race) women are getting exploited in sexist japan.
