Pantsu Academy goes from strength to strength, in my opinion beating the major contender for the season’s comedy crown with hectic humour, studied parody, ecchiness and a unique visual style courtesy of Blade.
However, it does have one extremely reprehensible point – it looks to be censored for no other reason than to boost sales of the DVD edition.
Here you see that the underwear has been removed in favour of sexy clay.
The clay parts are in fact properly animated (they have been shown in CMs and similar in the original anime style), but for some reason they chose to go with the (admittedly amusing) clay instead of in anime service.
Of course, things get even more puzzling when we look at what this harpy is wearing:
This last image (as well as all the other incidental service) seems proof positive that the producers are feigning restraint in order to shift the DVD release. Why else would they strip the main feature of not only oppai but even harmless underwear service, but then leave it in the ending and elsewhere like this?
If only this type of economically strategic censorship was the norm of the censorship we have at the end of 2022. Ah the naive good ‘ole days.
P.S. I still watch this anime from time to time. Always good for a light-hearted laugh when there is little to light heartedly laugh over nowadays.

I agree with Fonzer but my love of everything BLADE is too much for me to hold off watching this.
so that is one anime that i won’t watch until dvd version comes out.Censorship should be a crime.
