Police at Shigeru Mizuki Road, a Tottori tourist trap themed after esteemed mangaka Shigeru Mizuki’s works, have taken to cosplaying fairies in their efforts to patrol innocuously.
The initiative is said to have been implemented to avoid damaging the atmosphere of the 800m long road, visited annually by more than a million and a half people, by filling it full of the swarms of blue coated officers deemed necessary to control the recent plague of stabbers.
It is not clear whether people find randomly patrolling fairies any more reassuring than uniformed officers, but at least they are trying.
If only female officers would take to this in Akiba – what an interesting spectacle it might make, given the sorts of cosplay common to that area…

I know I’m late to this by half a year, but that’s a cop? Maybe I need to be arrested…wwww

It would certainly make the packs of roaming police in Akiba slightly less threatening… (though putting away the damned batons would achieve the same result)
