Don’t dis the people who have to do that job. It may not be very glamorous, but I still remember when a night out meant enduring asphyxiation and stinging eyes. I hope we’ll never return to those days.
By the way, in most of Japan smoking in public places is still legal, primarily because the tobacco lobby pays politicians with money and jobs. Fortunately some restaurant chains are starting to implement their own bans because politicians are failing, although since they can’t actually fine people it’s only an intermediate solution.

The article is titled “Crossdressing Cop Waves PIECE at schoolgirl” Piece is not pantsu. Piece = gun = euphamism for cock. Not sure if his balls got into the act, though.

Last week when I was in the smoking area next to Harajuku station there was a guy in his late thirties/early fourties in sailor uniform smoking there… I wonder if it’s him … the irony of “in charge of administering a public smoking ban” would be big Anywhere I can find a picture of him?

before reading the comment section here, I was actually about to comment on how this could be a means to end the idea of idols, the era of idols, and then perhaps, after this, trying to end the anime industry and manga industries… can you imagine a bunch of neo-liberals wanting control over everything, attempting to spread false information in order to alter the opinions of the unwashed masses, making them believe that otaku, anime and idol worshippers are evil and need to be stopped? such as …

They don’t need to do this in Japan, most toilets have those fountain cleaners for that.
