A schools official who ran a delivery health service which employed schoolgirls is facing prosecution.
The 57-year-old former city schools manager was found to have been running a delivery health service from a Nagoya apartment.
Aichi prefectural police charge that he violated his duty not to employ minors in his brothel by repeatedly despatching a 15-year-old schoolgirl to patrons for sex.
He claims that he only invested in the creation of the brothel and had no idea it employed schoolgirls, but police maintain that he was managing the business, not least because he supplied ¥2,000,000 in capital and rented their office and phones out in his own name.
In addition to child abuse charges, he also faces the rather more serious prospect of losing his cushy civil service job, as local government employees are banned from running side-businesses.
Two of his male employees have already been charged with similar offences – they received fines ranging from ¥200,000 to ¥300,000.
By their own admission, their profits dwarfed the fines – even though the school boss only let them have half: “We have profits of ¥100,000 a day. The two of us could take ¥40,000-50,000 between us, the rest we were to hand over.”
How does prostitution come to be called “delivery health”?
if only my health plan would cover this!
Call me an ignorant hairy westerner but I always assume that the age of consent in Japan was 14 and that prostitution was legal. Silly me. If they’re just busting him for using his position to set this all up, they should give him a medal instead for ingenuity.
I like that he might lose his job, not because of what he did, but because he had a side job to make extra money.
That’s amusing.
It’s amusing the way you pointed that out.
Huh, school officials really seem to have lighter punishments don’t they?
I think it’s clear that s large population of japan are lolicons and that’s why the minor laws are so strict(unless you are a teacher).
