unless the next shin megami tensei game does really well on the ps3, if they even release one on it, i doubt atlus would keep making ‘t games for it. they aren’t exactly a big name company with money to burn. this is probably why they didn’t want to risk putting persona 4 on a next gen console just yet because the ps2 was still performing well enough for a release on it to be plausible.
