This interesting comparsion illustrates the surprisingly wide disparities each person overseeing the animation of the second season of Gundam 00 has introduced (listed at the top), in a mere four episodes.
With variance as much as illustrated here, might we be watching a completely different anime by the end ofthe season? Fans seem inclined to think so.
Of course, just which is the most accomplished looks to be a highly subjective matter, though certain characters fair better than others.
It seems a stark contrast to the likes of Lucky Star, where discerning such differences is rather difficult…

To me Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex has the most inconsistent animators.
Considering I don't pay enough attention to Gundam for me to put any effort into noticing any discrepencies, not much of an eff is being given by me.
But if I had to choose..... then third row.
Well, time to browse through some Gold Rush Gundam doujins and not know who any of the characters are...

If this was a poll, I'd pick Chiba-san (leftmost column).
Well, he's the original character designer (animation-wise), so that's no surprise... All the other guys are merely trying to imitate his art.
Yeah, that one made all the characters looks more mature and realistic
and the hair, so much more detailed
Definitely have been noticing these animation differences within the episodes...
Originally dismissed it as just the animators trying to make the characters look more mature than last season. Hopefully that actually *is* the case and the teams just need to come together for a quick meeting and figure out how things should look.
Am I the only one that thinks that this is just making a mountain out of a molehill?
You've just stumbled upon the secret goal of blogging when it comes to Sunrise anime. Make the biggest deal out of nothing that you possibly can.
Honestly, I fail to see the point of comparing screenshots from entirely different angles and facial expressions but whatever. Everyone will now probably just pretend that there's some huge eye gouging discrepancy so that they can bash the hell out of the show.

It's just ridiculious to compare face with totally different emotions and I'd say that Gundam 00 - Second Season is very consistent in animation till now.
Nope, I feel the same way.
Besides there are anime with far lower consistency standards. :(
