Japanese comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto of Downtown fame, best known as one of the hosts of ‘Gaki no Tsukai,’ has denied sexual assault allegations published by Shukan Bunshun.
According to the Shukan Bunshun report, two women alleged that 60-year-old Hitoshi Matsumoto invited them to a private party at a high-end hotel in Tokyo in 2015, where he made one perform oral sex and forcibly kissed the other.
Moreover, NHK officials reported that Hitoshi Matsumoto’s sexual assault allegations were well known within the NHK station and, despite receiving protests from NHK viewers, went on to broadcast a program in which the comedian appeared. The producers who planned the program at NHK are also being questioned about the decision to allow the program to air.
Major news outlets in Japan aren’t reporting on the case, and entertainment insiders claim that the silence is likely due to the influence of Yoshimoto Kogyo, the talent agency that Matsumoto and about 6,000 other talents belong to.
Prove it or shut the f♥♥k up, period.
But now Matsumoto’s career is likely gonna take a massive hit because of this crap.
I don’t believe these fake #MeToo allegations via media.
RIP Matsumoto’s career. No one is safe from professional victimhood.
Anyone and everyone is a target.
The Japanese artistic and television environment is becoming very scary and toxic, if anyone can leave, leave once and for all because this way we can’t take it anymore
Wtf? this is not true, this guy loved his daughter so much and has been bachelor for like 20+ years until 2008… bro got mixed up with his agency. ☹️
