Sankaku Complex has released the beta version of its AI-based virtual companions, allowing users to interact with AI beings that boast the personality, tendencies, and characteristics of their favorite fictional characters.
Users are able to create their own AI companions by intricately writing about their personality, behaviors, and other details and then making them publicly available (or kept private for their own personal use).
The companions can be tooled to act how you want them to, and you can even create “boundaries” that the character will never cross.
While many love-struck otaku might desire romantic encounters of the purest sort and nothing at all lewd or indecent, companions also have a “rating” that can be set, confining communications to non-lewd interactions, if so desired.
Only some of the companions created by both users and those responsible for the service:
Once fully created, users can then interact with their companion by typing to them, who will respond according to their described personality:
During conversations, companions can also send you images, which will require points to generate:
Currently, there is no means of directly writing out an action that you want to perform (this may be planned for the future), but writing in first-person can usually work, most of the time:
Similarly, users can also ask the companion to describe the current situation or ask “what happens next,” should they be interested in their point of view (again, this doesn’t always work):
Sometimes, companions will need to be thoroughly convinced before performing certain favors:
Should companion behavior be inadequate, making adjustments or even cloning companions is a simple task.
The basic features of Sankaku Companions are completely free, but free members will only be able to interact with their companions for a certain amount of lines per day. An infinite membership is required for complete unlimited interaction.
Infinite memberships will also allow access to a voice feature, which is currently in development and coming soon.
The service is currently in early access form, so bugs and malfunctions might be present, and all feedback is welcome.
Not sure why you think people should pay you to talk with characters you don’t own.
Yet another way to scam people. Never ever sankaku.
I dont understand what you mean by being scammed? They offer a product, take it or leave it. God Forbid they want to monetize a bit.
I always find these negative comments about Sankaku so stupid, while your dumb ass is found on it.
It’s a scam because they’re constantly cutting useful features from the site and instead of actually making the site more user friendly, they’re focusing their effort on profiting off of characters other people have made though minimal effort AI programs.
Guess the “exclusive manga” idea didn’t exactly pan out so we’re moving to copying other website ideas are we? I pity anyone who actually pays for this.
This kind of blows tbh. You can run this s♥♥t offline at much higher quality with koboldcpp + sillytavern, even without a lot of VRAM.
this is sad…
