The Korean politician Lee Jae-myung, who went on a hunger strike to protest Japan’s release of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, has been hospitalized several weeks after he started fasting and has a warrant for his arrest.
The representative of South Korea’s largest opposition party has been fasting to protest the South Korean government’s response to the release of treated water, and he was hospitalized due to worsening health conditions.
The Korean politician began fasting at the end of August to send a message against the Yoon Suk Yeol administration, but his health took a turn for the worse on the 19th day of the hunger strike.
According to the democratic party, Representative Lee plans to continue fasting even in his hospital bed and will not eat or drink anything besides what he gets from the IV drip.
Prosecutors are reportedly investigating Lee Jae-myung on suspicion of being involved in illegally transferring funds to North Korea. An arrest warrant was filed on September 18th, and the ruling party has criticized Lee’s fasting as a way to buy time to delay judicial proceedings.
Here’s a news report on the matter:
Worst Korea
So there we go. The dog-eater blames Japan to distract from his own crimes. Typical of politicians in both Koreas.
He is quite fat. Guess he gained weight after not eating for so long lol
He could fit three times into the average American.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
South Korea has a national inferiority complex that they deal with by blaming Japan for everything. Very unhealthy and lots of people over there get indoctrinated with this nonsense and start experiencing mass hysteria which leads them to doing stupid things.
Instead of pointing fingers at Japan they should deal with North Korea instead. Notice how in their media it more often than not devolves into humiliating Japan, while they pretend that North Korea doesn’t exist?
