Man Kills Company President Before Hire: ‘I Got Him Before He Could Get Me’

Man Kills Company President: 'I Got Him Before He Could Get Me'

A 29-year-old Saitama man killed the president of a shipping company that was expected to hire him, only giving a vague “I got him before he could get me” as his explanation for committing the crime.

At around 9:00 p.m. on August 29th, an employee of a transportation company in Misato, Saitama Prefecture, called 110, saying, “The president was stabbed by a man with a kitchen knife.”

When the police arrived, the victim was unconscious and taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injury. The deceased was 52-year-old Koichiro Okawa, president of a transportation company, stabbed in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

The police immediately arrested 29-year-old Yosuke Uchida, who turned himself in at the police station for the crime. Uchida said, “I got him before he could get me,” and admitted to the charges.

The police are still investigating the motive for Uchida, who was expected to be hired by Okawa for his transportation company.
