The first Blu-Ray for last season’s slightly-ecchi anime Megami no Cafe Terrace has been released, and to the shock of people looking forward to the bathing scenes of five heroines, the Blu-Ray version of the anime keeps the censorship added to the TV version.
As revealed by a Twitter user in Japan, the Blu-Ray version changes the ending credits but keeps the censorship in the bathing scenes, with boobs, butts, and privates all being hidden away like in the TV version.
This reveal caused a wave of disappointment among the fans of the series, with some lamenting that there was even less of a reason to buy the Blu-Rays, and one person even questioned if this counted as a sort of scam. Some other people were less surprised, saying that they expected this to happen, as this has happened in the past before for other anime produced by Tezuka Productions.
Literally a scam. Imagine trying to charge people for the exact same content you got for free. And then they’ll cry about BD sales later.

This is what I’ve been saying for a while now. Add this one onto the list for the past few years along with series like Bisque Doll, Urusei Yatsura, etc. of s♥♥t retards kept saying “they’ll show nudity in the blu-rays, trust me bro”.
No, blu-rays are just as cucked now. If there isn’t an uncensored version airing/streaming simultaneously on a channel like AT-X or on a website, chances are it’s going to remain censored even on the blu-rays these days. Studios are becoming ever lazy and/or series are getting adapted by prude studios like KyoAni or CloverWorks. Just look at Maid Dragon’s anime and how tame it is compared to the manga.
I can already tell this same s♥♥t is going to happen to Jigokuraku, Daimakyou, and multiple other series before it even happens. Nipples in anime are basically gone now unless you go full blown softcore porn like Ishuzoku Reviewers. Casual nudity and innocuous ecchi is dead.

Like Steam: Play less than 2 hours, ask for refund and write: Censorship (or whatever the issues is. Don’t write out of hate because steam already started “hidding” bad reviews).
Same with anime. You buy blueray? Ensure you buy if from a store/place you can return if for refund. And you say clearly you don’t want it because of shitty translation or censorshit
