The journey of a former otaku through a dangerous and magical fantasy world resumes as the second season of Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu has exhibited some of the tribulations awaiting him, rigorous fights against nasty creatures and highly traumatic sequences apparently being rife and bound to have watchers curious as to what will happen.
The trailer has past characters returning and some new ones appear as well, and those who read the source material will probably be anticipating certain events down the line:
Omake:
Revered isekai anime Mushoku Tensei will debut its second season sometime in 2023.
Unfortunately this series goes downhill from here.
A dream n hope to C Ruedus bang both of them but that ain’t gona happen seesh wat n waste fo beast thicc beauties they were ready tho but Reudes dik is dead
Said by the zoophilic pokemon fan, so the series have to be great.
That is hardly possible considering it just spent 26 episodes on prologue.
The entire novel up to Rudys death of old age feels like a prologue.
yeah i’ll listen to the opinion of the pikachu guy that never has anything positive to say, ever
His negativity isnt exactly helping his argument
it’s been going downhill ever since they greenlit an anime adaption
Thats a matter of opinion. Sure the next 2 arcs arent that great but its what comes after those 2 that’s really lit
I read the novel which ends with the protagonist dying of old age.
Nothing that comes from now on will be all that interesting. In fact, it will only get worse with time. Everything feels rushed to set up later events.
Maybe the anime can fix a bit of that, but it won’t fix that all the interesting things are set up to take place after the protagonist dies of old age, while the protagonist just squanders his potential doing nothing. I’d have imagined him to create magic to prevent aging or something, what with all the crazy magic he invents, but no. Can’t have that.
This is the first time in my life I have truly appreciated a spoiler. Thank you, I won’t waste my time on such trash.
If you did read the novel then you should know that he wants to live out his life to the end and not become some ridiculously overpowered immortal isekai protagonist. Sure he could develop time travel magic like a certain old man but that guy forced himself to do it in order to avoid countless tragedies from happening and he succeeded and because he succeeded Rudy doesn’t need to do it too.
He’s an elemental mage with Earth affinity. Just why would he be qualified to create anti-aging magic? They call him the Quagmire, not Mister Revlon.
For one, because he has contact/access to plenty of immortals. He even build a puppet himself, which is essentially immortal. As long as he can transfer his soul into a puppet, bam, immortality.
I mean, the guy invented time travel, so why wouldn’t he be able to stop his own aging?
The whole series is just a prologue to Old Dragon’s Tale.
I’m thrilled. I’m sure we will see plenty of complaining in the same manner of shield hero, now that we are approaching a slow burning arc. The Academy Arc.
Aren’t most of the complains about Tate no Yuusha, that all the characters that do not have good relations with the protagonist are freaking retarded?
Now I like both series and I don’t read the LN so I dunno what’s in store for season 2, but my problem with Shield Hero is not the arc itself but the pacing, it’s rushed as f♥♥k, the events are disjoined like how the 3 other heroes suddenly apear on the turtle or how that green hair girl suddenly is OP.
I read comments telling what actually happens so I got the context of most of things, but the anime doesn’t explain s♥♥t, so unless you know before hand nothing makes sense.
I am hopeful about Mushoku Tensei though, I don’t think they will rush the plot.
I wish Raphtalia had more time in the spotlight. It felt very rushed, and from reading tidbits on the wiki I was hoping for a bit more. I really don’t understand why they didn’t release a full season with a Part 2 slated 6 months away. I wonder if the studio was having trouble.
Mushoku is being produced by the same studio, which is a new studio seems like they were made on the ideal of making mushoku. And they’ve done a damned fine job I dont see why it wont continue.
Shield hero on the other hand switched producers. And the new producer was s♥♥t. He seemed like he had more practice making saturday morning cartoons than continuous story telling series. And he erased all the build up that lead to events that happened in shield hero. Not to mention music choice and Camera work was absolute garbage….like episode 2 with the council the camera just spins for 45 seconds.. And the music was some weird upbeat Jazz that doesnt mesh with Season 1 at all and doesnt even match the emotions in the scene.
I wont deny its slow but if you only read the manga then its no wonder you would think that considering the chapters are released monthly at best. Based on the trailer its likely going to cover about 5 novel vols worth of content so its probably going to be another 2 cour
s♥♥t story and slow burn is a different thing. This arc try to show how “pitiful” the MC is so he can get his “redemption”.
I mainly disliked it because Eris is a c♥♥t.
I’m not a fan of her at the start. Perhaps I should watch it again, but I recall quite a bit of character growth towards the stereotypical Tsundere personality. Though, I was never a fan of Rin from Fate stay/night, nor any Tsundere types. I prefer my delectable yandere men.
am looking forward to it
The quest to heal his ailing…limp dick.
Where’s the pantsu?
I’m guessing that’ll appear in future episodes.
Off topic but is this a good anime to watch? I haven’t watched any anime in a while, I want some recommendations and I’m wondering if it’s good.
First season is decent. Define “a while”.
It’s great, watch it.
