Winged Cloud’s newest visual novel, Sakura Knight, has profited with its girl-on-girl content as the title contains four beautiful women with no men in sight, a dream come true for yuri purists who also don’t mind a little slime and animal girl action.
The kindhearted and easygoing plot revolves around Estelle, daughter of the great hero Cressida who vanquished an evil demon queen, attempting to follow in her mother’s footsteps:
The land of Lemuria was once in turmoil. Ruled over by the evil demon queen, Gunhild, the people lived every day in fear and strife… until the brave female knight, Cressida, destroyed her.
For the last thirty years, Lemuria has been at peace. Knights like Cressida are no longer needed to protect the masses – but Cressida’s daughter, Estelle, is determined to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Not content to spend the rest of her days in her parents’ bakery, our young heroine vows to take up the sword and go on a fantastic adventure…
But things don’t quite work out that way!
Despite her lofty ambitions, Estelle is sheltered and naïve. Less than a week into her adventure, she’s hoodwinked by a crafty catgirl, and then she has to content with a wildly flirtatious elven princess who keeps making advances on her!
How will Estelle ever manage to make her dream come true?!
Like many of the bewitching titles pumped out by Winged Cloud, this eroge is teeming with yuri moments and sex scenes:
Sakura Knight can be bought up through Steam now; activating the adult content will require visiting Winged Cloud’s Patreon and installing the free patch.
Another “I don’t draw genitalia” release. For something that claims to be an “adult” title, it takes the extra mile to avoid acting like one. “Nowhere” stands out as much as “Everywhere”.
It’s the law, don’t blame the artist… (-_-)
The Sakura series is western.
Better than a pixelated mess tbh
This is honestly kind of a trend with some yuri artists, it’s like they think hiding the pussy makes it more “pure” or some s♥♥t while still failing to realize they’re still drawing characters groping, fingering and licking each other’s nether regions so it’s still NSFW.
Oh look, the same body and face over and over and over. I don’t dislike the art from a technical standpoint, but they could draw some different fucking breast sizes for a change.
These bitches all have the same tits and their faces only differ by eye color. Where’s the mega milk? Where’s the l♥♥i? Where’s the variety?
I’ve never been into Yuri at all, and it’s always made me feel like an outsider whenever I hear about how well loved it is, usually. I wish I did, but it just doesn’t do anything for me. I’m not a girl, so the girls in the yuri scene probably wouldn’t be interested in me anyway. Also, since I’m not a girl, I can’t relate to yuri sex scenes all that much. I wish I could just not care about either of those things and come at it from the angle of “more girls = more sexy” like other guys apparently do, but I just can’t see it that way.
That’s only slightly related to the topic but w/e.
Yuri has always been a niche genre. A lot of it comes about because heterosexual artists have only taught themselves how to draw attractive female bodies, so their ability to draw male characters is really bad in comparison. This is why there’s a lot of Futanari, Tentacles, Monsters, and Bluemen (male characters that are a transparent, blue silhoutte). One of Tech Arts’ ero game brands tried a main-stream (?) yuri title, and to make it more appealing to men, they had it so the girls lactate upon climax as if their nipples squirt milk like a penis ejaculates, and the characters mysteriously become covered by a white sticky fluid that’s supposed to represent the viewers cum marking the female body. I believe they also made it so the lead heroine pretty much thinks and acts as if she was a boy in a female body (she wants to make all of the girls and teachers in her school join her Oppai Harem) to target the percentage of men with autogynephilic sexual fantasies (think of it as transforming into a girl so you can go into the locker room or public path to make out with other girls).
Basically, your inability to enjoy plain Yuri is normal. It’s almost the same with how Yaoi and Bara are different. With the former being made by and for women, so the characters act in a way that can sexually arouse women, and the latter being made by and for gay men in a way that would sexually arouse them.
It’s almost like making games that feature faceless self insert cringe boys with short brown hair and no friends, hobbies or personality in the protagonist role isn’t appealing to a lot of people.
Yuri? what a waste of art
