The World Intellectual Property Organization’s database reveals that Sony has patented a new controller design, possibly giving insights into a future PlayStation 5 joypad.
The new controller is similar in appearance to the PlayStation 4’s default joypad, although it includes two new buttons on the back. These buttons can be programmed to perform the same tasks as any of the buttons on the front of the controller.
It has, however, been noted that the new controller appears to feature a micro-USB port, whereas USB-C ports are planned for the PS5; this has raised questions about whether the controller has been designed for the PlayStation 4 or the PlayStation 5.

So, it’s a PS4 controller with 2 “gamar buttons” on the back that are supposed to be for “pew pew” shooter fags to jump/shoot without reaching for a face button making them a second or two faster and “teh bestest”..?
The best part is jump shooting makes your movement more predictable in over 90% of FPS/TPS.
some people have been modding their controllers to add mappable buttons on the back of the controller for competitive gaming. they’re probably remappable on these as well
