The recent Japanese BD release of ancient Dragon Ball Z film “Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly” has had an instance of a character giving the middle finger removed, likely a result of the taunt being better understood in modern-day Japan.
The original release of the movie had character Trunks giving the middle finger, but one Japanese buyer discovered that the BD version (which was released this month) did not have this aggressive taunt:
An animated comparison was also provided:
The BD release of Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound – also released this month – was subjected to the exact same censorship:
A select few international releases and Japanese TV rebroadcasts such as Dragon Ball Kai had the middle finger removed in the past as well:
Theories suggest that the censorship was put into place so as to prevent children from imitating the gesture, especially now that it has become a more understood concept in Japan (as it originated in the west).
But did they get rid of the bit where Trunks moons Broly?
Offering your anus to another man is highly appreciated by the left. There is no need to censor it.
maybe you should leave your lipstick in the bowl, anus mouth.
LOL
Kill all MAGAs.
The left? As far as censorship goes, this is about as apolitical that it gets…
Not sure how political correctness is “as apolitical as it gets”, but okay.
The right tends to be more offended by curses and gestures such as this, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.
*Squints* Not sure if joking…
“ThE LeFt”
Lol, can you sound like any more of an NPC?
Nah dude that’s not how it works.
up down right center round and around and around up down left right down down B A start
It would only make sense if they decided to censor them for the T.V. release, since they are compelled by very rigid laws (which is why tv is the media of the braindead apes) but not for BD
I’d like to read from dragoncucks trying to justify this
Learn about target audience, dumbass.
So, Dragon Ball had nudity
Political Correctness reached Japan. Great.
More like soccer mom “think of the children” has reached Japan.
Show for kids, what do you expect?
Eh, it always was a show for kids. This has nothing to do with audience because that audience never changed. If anything, the audience has become super cucked and is too triggered with someone insulting someone IN A FIGHT TO THE DEATH WITH THE ENTIRE PLANET AT STAKE.
Dragonball has always been for kids. It’s just that Western kids are minus a thousand years old, so they have to remove s♥♥t to protect their fragile reverse-minds.
Third wave liberalism actually.
