YouTuber SidAlpha has found himself on the bad side of a particular Russian visual novel developer and has received an emotionally-loaded threat invoking the events of 9/11.
After uncovering a clear-cut case of review manipulation on Steam, dirty developer-exposing YouTuber SidAlpha was reportedly threatened by one of the developers of Sunhand Games responsible for the unethical behavior.
When Valve finally grew wise of the machinations behind Lovely Island’s positive review scores they swiftly brought down the banhammer on it and completely removed it from the Steam Store.
While SidAlpha probably doesn’t have to fear for his life just yet, it is still quite surprising the lengths some developers will go to in order to sell their products on Steam, and what they’ll do when they don’t get their way.

Russian developers and players have flooded Steam and the controversy surrounding their presence involves games that are seemingly developed professionally but lacking quality. Some are using asset-flips and abuse the system for social, personal, and financial gain. It’s nothing new but absolutely nothing to ignore because some of them aren’t there to give consumers quality content. Also, especially if you’re making direct contact, some aren’t friendly and would do anything to maintain control.
If there’s anything Steam should have a newer policy on, it’s this. This was a shameful act.

I’ve seen devs from pretty much every nation that has internet try to pull this s♥♥t. Nobody is innocent… except the Swiss. I never saw any of this crap from them.
