“Authentic” History: Total War’s Roman Generals Blacked & Feminized

A post-launch patch to Total War: Rome II has turned half of the generals into women of color – racist players who dared complain about this righteous blackening of their history were told only that it is “historically authentic” and they shouldn’t play the game if nu-history triggers their fragile white egos so deeply.

The changes were quickly spotted by players who realized that the generals in the game were all slowly being converted into women and being made to have darker skin, eventually leading to Steam reviews questioning why this is and the creation of numerous threads on the Steam forums.

One thread ended up being locked, with the game’s community manager Ella McConnell, rotten to the core in more ways than one, telling all readers the following:

“This thread is a mess so I’m locking it (and bans have been issued
for those who repeatedly violated Steam community guidelines). As has been said previously: Total War games are historically authentic, not historically accurate – if having female units upsets you that much you can either mod them out or just not play.”

The setting of Total War: Rome II is based on ancient Rome, which if CA and the BBC are to be believed was a proud and diverse empire of African warrioresses, not the literally fascist Italian imperium so many evil whites erroneously believe once held sway over most of the European continent.

As a result of the outrage of the pre-replacement Europeans, the game’s “mostly positive” Steam reviews dropped down to “mixed”:

British game developers in particular seem to be fond of desperately injecting the condition of their nightmare homeland into games – such titles as Two Point Hospital and Elite Dangerous finding their NPC skin color and sex selectors doggedly set to 50% in defiance of reality so as to lazily ensure prime seepage of womyn of color into the gaming space.

Bigots who are offended by their games library being patched into nu-historical compliance are advised to stick to the backwards depictions of undiverse societies found in Japanese titles, and maybe spam Steam with refund requests.
