US game show and pop culture weather-vane Jeopardy has seemingly tried to become “hip” with the kids as well as ota-barbarians by introducing a “manga” category for one of its latest episodes, no doubt proving relatively simple for the many grizzled veterans on the subject.
All the questions from the “manga” category can be viewed below:
Perhaps this development could lead to further questions on otaku culture appearing on the America-centric show…
Jeopardy, what they put on national TV, along with boring game shows or “reality” TV, in places with no anime on TV, decades later still in 2017.
What is a TV show still borning, time wasting, slot consuming, and still trying to remain “hip”?
What is #Jeopardy.
To me those questions are like asking “What color is your hair?” Seriously? How can I participate? I’d be fucking rich.
Great! Now, if only they add the hentai, eroge, l♥♥i, AV and junior idol categories I would show Watson he’s no rival for horny humans.
I’m pretty sure you watch ALL of that on a computer, which is exactly what Watson is. Of course, if IBM turns off safesearch, I’m pretty sure Watson will choose to destroy us all once it becomes self-aware.
I bet even Alex Trebek watches anime, if you watch the show enough you can catch him sneaking things in, like one time the question was about a planet, he goes, “no, im sorry, the answer is in…. Your anus
Not sure what a century old joke has to do with anime.
let me guess, none of them got any of the questions correct! right?
One person didn’t get any. The other two got them.
