A digest video summarizing the first two seasons of Kyoto Animation’s Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! has emerged in celebration of the anime’s upcoming “Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!: Take On Me” film, serving as a nice introduction for newcomers as well as a refresher for those who saw the series however long ago and need to be reacquainted.
The thorough digest video:
Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!: Take On Me is slated to debut in theaters on January 6th of next year.
Taaaaake ooooonnn meeeeemme!
So is 8th grade syndrome common in japan? With all the power rangers and kamen rider who wouldn’t want to be a hero?
super hero presence in mainstream media is WAY heavier in western media then japanese.
wat? they had sex? in mainstream romance anime? are you kidding me?
no they didnt. s2 e3, they it was yuta’s dream
man that video quality is horrible you can’t even tell if she has boobs there.
it’s intentional.
He was having a dream about it when he became more conscious of and started to develop feelings for her.
They’ve been in a relationship for a while but haven’t even kissed once. Typical KyoAni nonsense and bullshit.
Just couldn’t bear to watch that series for more than a couple episodes. To me it was like watching kids with mental disabilities going at each others.
it does start slow, but it gets better.
What an earth do you mean by that? If problem is watching two mentals going at each other then it only gets worse from there, as protagonist becomes just as insane as the lead girl. How’d you describe that as getting better?
Well, it’s more about adolescents growing up and accepting their own and each other’s quirks. It’s a bit deeper than people being mental, but if that’s not what you’re looking for and you just want straight forward and a thin plot, then yeah…it’s not for you.
Not wanting to express fondness in public space or whistling a childhood memory tune regularly would classify as a “quirk”.
Seeing hallucinations and having delusions is not a quirk, it’s serious mental health disorder.
But hey, I’m not judging. Whatever floats your boat as you fornicate with the mentally ill.
My quick summary: S1 was awesome. S2 started out with potential, but dove into cliche and mehness.
