Bandai Namco’s newest franchise, Code Vein, has gotten its first bloodthirsty trailer, with the game revolving around a post-apocalyptic world and a group of vampire-like beings fighting against ghoulish beings known as the “Lost”, which some have immediately begun comparing to the revered Dark Souls series (except with more anime-centric character designs).

Vampire enthusiasts can look forward to the release of Code Vein sometime in 2018 for most “major consoles”.

Wow, I hope that this game does not take itself way too seriously, because from what the trailer’s shown, it is very unimpressive. The gameplay mechanic so far looks kinda like a shitty version of Dark Souls 3. The buildings, spikes and MC’s arm is kinda like a mix of Darksiders and Prototype. The MC’s mask is also uninspiring, mixing Kaneki the GoatFucker and Jetstream Sam?. The chick feels like she is ripped straight from Fate series. Darksouls clones! Here’s another shitsouls.

I don’t know any Dark Souls player who would wait for something like this. It goes into the complete opposite direction of what a DS player likes in the series. If this is Bandai/Namcos next title so be it. But don’t compar it needlessly to DSouls without any reason.
