Toyota may be taking a page out of Ford’s book in terms of utilizing popular franchises in an attempt to generate more sales…

I’m kinda surprised they didn’t change E.Honda’s name like they did in City Hunter. (Jackie Chan had an advertising deal with Mitsubishi at the time so in the Street Fighter 2 scenes he was changed to E.Honde)
OH! MY CAR
Fight vs Vega, wait…!
in the american release they swapped named around
IIRC the Japanese version name swapped two of the grand masters and the final boss because Capcom was told that having a boxer named “Mike Bison” would be a legal issue in the USA.
Japan’s M. Bison was the US’s Balrog.
Japan’s Balrog was the US’s Vega.
Japan’s Vega was the US’s M. Bison.
Sagat remained the same in all versions.
