Efforts to help obese otaku and NEETs lose weight have finally begun utilizing incentives that they might actually appreciate, with the aptly named campaign known as “Anisong Fitness” offering participants the opportunity to lose weight by performing dance-inspired calisthenic routines to their favorite anime songs.
A video going into detail about the event:
Musician Go Takahashi, seiyuu Yuki Takada and idol Yakko of rock band Q’ulle will be instructing the masses on how to do the dances, along with 2D mascot Sakura Asahina to better convince the event’s largely otaku demographic.
2017 will serve as the official launch year of the project.
I’d dance to Bomb A Head for sure
Ooh nice.
I’m simply impressed by this.
Agreed, some things are just a good idea and you can see where the reason and good comes from it. The simple truth is people will do things if you put it correctly in their path, and each path is different.
I’ll stick with wotagei TYVM…
Yeah… I rather keep embarassing myself at home, rather than in a Gym, thank you very much…
