The astronomical reputation of One-Punch Man has caused one devoted artist to reanimate the show’s OP sequence in the primitive style of its original web manga (save for a few differences), bound to be rather jarring for those unfamiliar with the franchise’s initially simplistic art-style.
The stylized animation:

A side-by-side comparison of the anime’s OP and the recreated one:
Fuuuuuuck….
No, don’t post about One Punch… It’s so depressing thinking about how long another season of the anime will take, much less the re-draws..
Who need Subaru if u have Saitama and Genos?
Who is Subaru?
Week’s jackass crush.
a car manufacturer
Barusu.
nobody needs you, that’s for sure
The original story by ONE is great, however the art style is really atrocious. The original art style can work as opening or ending, but to watch it all the way would be like watching all those inferior animations by plenty of those no talent hacks, at least ONE have an interesting plot.
It is a good thing they get a better artists to draw, then animate the great work.
A number of great manga and anime came about as a team effort, involving the assistants, editor, etc.
One thing with ONE’s original work, at least we can find out the direction of the story ahead of times.
but sadly, yuusuke murata’s chapter schedule is no different than yoshihiro togashi’s hiatus spree
this guy is THE hero we need
I like this more than the normal opening tbh.
Same here. I think it’s partially because I’ve seen some of the older art before at some point. The other part is because the anime art reminds me of Bleach/Naruto (though I think leaning more Bleach)… And I can’t get myself to watch/read that kind of shonen material. (If they were shorter and more to the point without needlessly extending arcs and stuff, I’d be more tolerant…)
Can we get The Hero Meets Metal remix from this guy?
