The ever growing popularity of established violinist Ayako Ishikawa has led to the famed musician at last releasing an album featuring many of her revered anime covers, garnering acclaim from fans and perhaps converting a few into classical music otaku as well…
The talented Ishikawa has apparently been a violinist since the age of four, traversing to different parts of the world in whilst building her skills and winning several international awards as a result – after retiring from the Eminence Symphony Orchestra, she took to posting covers for anime and games on her YouTube channel, a step up in stature if ever there were one.

The album, entitled “Anime Classics”, can be pre-ordered now and will be available December 9th – and in celebration of her CD debut, Ishikawa will hold a concert at Ebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo on December 27th.

This is a classical violin piece that is renowned for being very difficult to play. She has clearly mastered it. Her interpretation is unusual because she uses tempo changes and pauses that are not typical. Even for someone who doesn’t agree with her choices, there is no denying that she is a world class talent.
