Upcoming Final Fantasy smartphone title “Mevius Final Fantasy” has released an action-packed trailer demonstrating the game’s intense touch-screen based battles and svelte character designs, sure to draw a positive reaction from hardcore Final Fantasy fans itching to satisfy their RPG needs.
The game will apparently also possess a job system similar to the Final Fantasies of old, bringing both familiar roles and new ideas to the table – all the while boasting a rather nostalgic atmosphere to try and score further points with long-time players of the series.

Mevius Final Fantasy will be available for Android and iOS some time in spring – and will be likely be rife with enjoyable micro-transaction meta-gameplay to boot.
I’m fine with girls having their eye candy. I’m fine with the weird outfits (no weirder than the other games.) I’m even fine with the somewhat outdated job system.
What I’m NOT fine with is this being mobile…….. and apparently in portrait mode.
Ladies, and gentlemen, behold, the future of Japanese gaming! Shitty smartphone ‘apps’! Japanese console games will be extinct within a generation or two, and trash like this will be all that is left from the one time dominant force in game development that was Japan…

finally, final fantasy has migrated to the mobile cesspit where it belongs. the last time i remember final fantasy being any good was the super nintendo era.
