Upcoming Final Fantasy smartphone title “Mevius Final Fantasy” has released an action-packed trailer demonstrating the game’s intense touch-screen based battles and svelte character designs, sure to draw a positive reaction from hardcore Final Fantasy fans itching to satisfy their RPG needs.
The game will apparently also possess a job system similar to the Final Fantasies of old, bringing both familiar roles and new ideas to the table – all the while boasting a rather nostalgic atmosphere to try and score further points with long-time players of the series.

Mevius Final Fantasy will be available for Android and iOS some time in spring – and will be likely be rife with enjoyable micro-transaction meta-gameplay to boot.

Jesus fucking christ. And to think, the Next Final Fantasy game used to be a huge event, something you'd look forward to. Something you'd save up for, and free up several weekends to immerse yourself in.
The giant pit of diarrhea that is the smartphone market, has destroyed games in a way no videogame crash ever could.
Fuck, I hope the smartphone market is headed for a crash itself. Seeing the waves and waves of utter horse shit that are released on phones every day, and seeing it get harder and harder for mobile devs to make a profit, it seems possible that the bubble will soon burst and the whole platform will come crashing down.
We can only pray.
Square Enix killed off a series more popular than Final Fantasy in Japan, that being Dragon Quest. DQ X sold poorly, where as a typically Dragon Quest game there can easily sell over 4-6 million lifetime alone.
You probably won't even be able to play 10 minutes before the game artificially slows down the gameplay in order to make you pay to set it to accelerate it.
