Soon to arrive Nagato-centric anime adaptation “The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan” has unveiled some rough sketches of its all too familiar characters, showcasing the new art-style provided by Satelight – who have been handed the reigns in place of the legendary KyoAni.
The sketches were brought to light by way of the show’s official website:
The anime is due to air during the rather hectic spring block in April.
Where the f♥♥k is Sasaki.
Sasaki shows up eventually, in volume 6 of the manga, but I doubt they’ll get to her before season 2.
There’s an arc in volume 4, terminating at the beginning of volume 5, that would seem to me to be an obvious place to end the first cour (season).
I know, but this animation could be better with Sasaki.
…handled the *reins*, not reigns.
Haruhi without KyoAni = FAIL Fuckaz!!
after endless 8 its for the better beta fag
oh ya, I forgot about that…lol. That did NOT need to be 8 episodes. They probably could’ve accomplished the EXACT same effect in 2 episodes, 3 max.
3 would have been ideal. One to show a fail, one to tease a success only to fail (could even give it the same iteration number that succeeded in the LN, to heighten the tease), then one to succeed. Eight was just too damn many. At least if they’d really gotten weird with a few of them it would have been interesting, since the start of each new iteration was the ultimate retcon (outside of Nagato’s memories, and she isn’t talking). But no, we basically get the same episode seven and a half times.
I know it was partially to make us empathize with Yuki’s having to “live through” every iteration (set up for Disappearance), and partially to keep from having to adapt anything that happened after Disappearance before the Disappearance movie (which they would have known about already), but they could have definitely handled it better.
Where did Yuki go??
So Haruhi is going to have a speaking role?? Because, well you know, all of drama with her VA..
They have a main cast list on the site and Suzumiya Haruhi will be voiced by Hirano Aya.
And I’m glad!
Haruhi without Aya is heresy.
She still works as voice actor without any problems, just saying.
Namely Migi from Parasyte.
