A new trailer for crime prevention anime Psycho-Pass‘s upcoming movie has been unleashed, bringing further insight into the film’s previously withheld plot and setting – and showing off many of the show’s signature psychopaths.
The ominous trailer:
The movie is a direct sequel to the anime series, highly regarded for its suspenseful drama revolving around a futuristic crime and punishment system – it will premier all across Japan on January 9th.
Kogami returns (1:01)?
OMG! so many spoilers for the currect season, woe me!
S1 is good, S2 is typical anime cliche
season 1 did it first so hipster
this looks alot like a ghost in the shell movie.
it’s set in a similar universe so it can’t be helped, distopian future, full cybernization possible, everything done by machines, can’t hide anywhere, system got eyes wherever you go.
And same production team.
I couldn’t help but think the same. Especially when the tanks appeared.
Is Psycho pass any good?
The female character design looks like the usual stupid anime face that’s popular these days.
I regretted looking past Gons looks when i watched HxH, now my soul has a cell shaped scar.
First season really good, second season is pants because of the writer change and it effectivly being nothing more than filler and low budget, the movie looks good because season 1 team and writer.
Yeah, S1 is great but S2…not so much so far.
Psycho Pass is definitely good; I would say one of the best Anime that came out the year that it did. The lead female character is actually one of the best parts about the show. She develops realistically in a progressive manner and it truly an interesting character. I would argue that she was one of the more well developed characters, and I just kept liking her more.
Basically does watching an Anime that depicts the most realistic modern day interpretation of George Orwellian themes interest you? What about an Anime that has one of the most well developed, strong female leads ever?
Watch it, trust me. I’m on the internet.
It was good when Urobuchi came up with it and directed the first season. The second season otoh is just stupid. Who knows what the movie will be like :/
I like season 2 for more openly showing and aknowledging how ridiculous and flawed the Sybil System is and how fucked up the people have become just so they can live within it. That said the mother/son duo is superfluous, the story so far would have worked just as well without them and now they seem to be in contact/working with the “opposition”, which is plain stupid.
And it’s not school setting, so there is that.
