Newly airing anime Amnesia has so far managed to befuddle viewers with its confusing plot and completely nameless protagonist, but its colourful and immaculate character designs and “reverse harem” setting stand out as well, and may even secure it some measure of popularity amongst non-fujoshi.
The anime is based on a PSP “otome” game, but even so seems to be securing some popularity amongst general late night anime watchers:
The art surrounding the series unsurprisingly reveals its prime demographic:
mmm lets see for the dummy’s out there this isnt aimed for men its just otome (reverse harem for woman) and there’s actually nothing wrong with the series since ive already played the game originally on PSP, all the reverse harems released are owned by otomate originally where on psp but fans want their fucking service so cram the bagging 🙂
The thing is, the Amnesia otome game is popular because of the character who’s a complete yandere and drugs the main character and throws her in a cage to “protect” her.
I thought sancom still needed at least some male gay secs to go mad and not watching good shows, like Shin Sekai Yori. Which is more “best of 2012” than simply “good”, but whatever.
Seriously, I’m gonna watch this ’cause the premise is pretty good and enjoyable, and the show makes you wander what’s coming on. Surprisingly the male cast, if you disregard the clothes, is interesting (this is the worst problem with reverse harems, depressingly common): the heroine needs to be a little more active, though. Yes, storywise your attitude makes sense and you’re terribly cute (Kaori Nazuka FTW) and we want to cuddle and protect you, but you gotta DO something. At least every 2-3 episodes.
This anon with a penis and preferring vaginas never give a f♥♥k if he read shoujos or whatever, btw. This attitude is called “being at ease with your own sexuality”, kids.
What the hell is an otome game? If you have to use gratuitous Japanese words, at least link to a definition or something!
Otome games are real. It’s an harem game for chicks. The real difference is that there is less sex, but probably that’s because they’re mostly teenage oriented than “girls would NEVER like sex in their romantic stories!” (yeah, like there is no sex in the equivalent romances).
The best part is that literally they’re called “virgin games”. Like saying “you go girl, FOREVER ALONE!”.
Besides the reverse harem, I’m in interested in the androgynous light purple haired character. Probably give it a watch for that one in particular, usually turns out for the best! ^_^
