Anime deserving of a prime time airing on Japanese TV during “golden time” rather than the graveyard late night slot it actually received have been fastidiously ranked by fans, for once revealing a fairly pragmatic set of choices.
1. Tiger & Bunny
2. Natsume’s Book of Friends
3. Chihayafuru
4. Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
5. Kuroko’s Basket
6. K-ON!
7. Working!!
8. Hyouka
9. Nichijou
10. Shinryaku! Ikamusume
Nichijou has in fact managed almost managed to get into a reasonable slot, having been reaired recently on NHK during the afternoon, although it is hard to see any of the others managing this.
Nichijou’s ridiculous timeslot when it was first run (as I recall, it was about 12:30 AM or 1 AM) is what hamstrung it and cripples ratings and DVD sales.
Looks like a list of “Which Anime to Avoid.”
Not at all.
Most of those series listed are excellent.
Isn’t K-On! airing in disney?
Tiger and Bunny would be nice for all the brands that ‘sponsor’ the show.
Their sponsors can buy that time slot if they want it.
Where’s Usagi Drop?
