Most anime viewers are likely familiar with the experience of watching an anime they find so objectionable that they can only bear to watch for a few minutes before dropping it – now there is a ranking of just which titles attract such sentiments.
The ranking, not limited to recent anime but nonetheless dominated by them as “the ones you are most likely to remember just happen to be the most recent”:
1. 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku
2. Ano Hi Mita Hana
3. Henzemi
4. Ochinko
5. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
6. Softenni
7. Ore-tach ni Tsubasa wa Nai
8. “I’ll at least watch the whole first episode!”
9. A Channel
10. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
11. K-ON!
12. Hanasaku Iroha
13. Astarotte no Omocha!
14. Zakuro
15. Ayakashi
16. Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi
17. Yami no Matsuei
18. Infinite Stratos
19. Tiger & Bunny
20. Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi
21. Nichijou
22. Kampfer
23. Sengoku Otome
24. Mitsudo Moe
25. Fractale
That some of the most popular and successful titles are loathed by many fans is of course a well known phenomenon, but it would seem only truly terrible quality, quirky content, or a problematic art style can ensure a title becomes an instant and literal turn-off.
is this post really not a troll?!
I know “5. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica” very popular in the first place.
why is Ouran High School Host Club not in the list?
Even with anime that only have 5 minute episodes should’t be dropped after one. That’s like reading fifteen pages into a book and then returning it because the story wasn’t moving very fast
Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi they are gay haters awesome series! DX
Well, the worst 5 minutes I’ve ever seen was the LuckyStar one.
Still, I always figth my way through the first episode, despite the horribleness.
