At the recently concluded Tokyo International Anime Fair, it was revealed that classic super robot anime series, Gaiking, will soon have a Hollywood movie adaptation.
The adaptation will be headed by Jules Urbach and directed by Matthew Gratzner, both of whom are big names in the CG industry in Hollywood, with Jules handling the effects in the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and Matthew being involved with “The Dark Knight” and “Iron Man“, to name but a few.
Both promised that the movie will return to its anime roots for the storyline, possibly a jab at a certain transforming robot movie adaptation that heavily relies on CG animation and little else.
The trailer can be seen below:

They better not f♥♥k this up.
actually they already did it. Its pretty fucked up as it is. They’re trying to fix it so it will be releaseable.
You cannot deny it. Thats fucking Transformers
1. HOLY SHITSNACKS!
2. I am impressed with how the trailer work but knowing how hollywood has been with anime and video games I remain just a smidge bit skeptical bout how this will fly.
End statement: If these guys know what their doing that I say have at it.
*facepalm* … GUY, GUY!! IT MUST BE GUY PILOTING TEH ROBOT!!! … *sigh* All teh manly anime/games made into movies are being girlified … WHY!!!? I DON’T MIND THE SEQUEL BEING LEAD BY A GIRL BUT NOT THE FIRST ONE!!!
From what we know, it’s a concept trailer and not necessarily applicable to the final product. Looks like a glorious CG orgasm, so I’ll be watching it come hail or high water.
