Otaku have petitioned the government for the right to marry 2D characters.
The online petition in question:
“We’ve no interest in the 3D. If we could, we’d like to live in a 2D world. However, with current technology, this is not possible. So at the very least, can we have marriage to 2D characters legally recognised? If this were to come to pass, I intend to marry Asahina Mikuru.”
The most interesting comment we see in response is this:
“I’ve been married to Arcueid of Tsukihime for five years now. I’ve no doubt that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. As someone who lives in two dimensions, I’d very much like to support this measure!”
Via Gigazine.
Currently the measure has 530 supporters, with a million seemingly being the target for it to be presented to the diet, should they tear themselves away from trying to ban 2D characters for long enough to hear it.
i will admit that i do like 2d girls but i wont go this far 0_0
HERE IS A BETTER IDEA: Why not draw the marriage certificate and ceremony? That way, it will exist in the 2D world and you don’t have to make an absurd law over it.
*facepalms*
laammeeeee~~~
I wish I could do that
