Famous bubbly idol group Momoiro Clover Z has teamed up with none other than the geriatric rock legend KISS to produce a musical collaboration of surreal harmony…
Surprisingly enough, Momoiro Clover Z are not inexperienced on the subject of cooperating with famous western artists, as their previous effort with Marty Friedman and Yngwie Malsteen has demonstrated:
Likewise, KISS have made occasional appearances in anime as well.
The KISS and Clover collaboration will be unleashed onto iTunes on January 28th, and Momoiro Clover Z will also perform at KISS’s 40th anniversary concert at Tokyo Dome on March 3rd.

I remember them for the joshiraku ed. That was a good track.
I did not realize at the time that Marty Friedman was involved in the track, and I only just now realized there is a movie for the series (for the series OP theme adaptation of which they hired Yngwie Malmsteen)... anyone know what their role in all this was musically? Just hired to be studio musicians / promotional tools? Did they compose parts of the song, e.g. the solos or some riffs?
Mouretsu Pirates needs S2. I enjoyed the anime even though it is a bit underwhelming. Love its awesome OP song.
I would love it more, if they actually used the original character design.
To me, the anime chara design felt to bland and generic.
It was decent enough for the most part, but I couldn't stomach the painfully hypocritical premise for more than a few eps and ended up dropping it. Might give it a second chance though.
Forgot to add: Starship Operators is still the very best schoolgirls in space scifi work of fiction in existence. I can't help comparing anything even remotely resembling its theme against that masterpiece. Rocket Girls is a solid second place.
