Sony’s weekly hack is out – this time another one of its regional sites has been hacked, with the culprits making off with a tasty database of personal data.
Sony BMG’s Greek website was the subject of a hack on the 5th of May, exposing its user database with 8,385 entries to the attention of hackers. The data leaked includes the usual names, phone numbers and so on.
Unusually, this time the whole database was made public (with a few merciful redactions) by the hackers.
The attack itself was a generic SQL injection attack – one of the most common ways of compromising a remote server, making the attack less than reassuring considering how many similar servers the company operates, and how many hackers are now keenly probing its network.
Sony you disappointed. I hope you die.
SQL Injection is BEST TROLLAGE TOOL EVAH!
Nothing like a MEGA Hack to attract people to try out the server and overclock Pc’s around the world haha (i know)
Fucking hell! Criminals just don’t get it!
