The only moe thing about K-ON! is Azusa, and she wasn’t even intentionally moe to begin with. It’s the anime and the fans that made people consider K-ON! as moe. If you read the manga it’s just a lighthearted slice-of-life comedy told in 4-koma format, nothing moe about it.

I blame the anime industry for turning a perfectly good manga into what most people seem to consider probably one of the biggest moe blobs ever.
