Its a well known fact that dolphins have very bad eyesight so they basically try to recognize stuff around them using sonar (eg. they only “see” the skeleton, heart beats and pulmons breathing).

This may break the myth, but since ancient times dolphins often “saved” drowning people because in water when a person suffocates trying to breath for air while underwater, for nearby dolphins it “sounds like” when a fellow dolphin is drowning (when unconscious or ill) in which situation other dolphins push the victim out of the water so it can get the necessary air intake and “wake up”.

You must remember dolphins are mamals like us and from what their senses tells them we are quite close to what a fellow dolphin “looks like” (albeit we lack ultrasonic abilities and we can breath underwater using oxygen masks), so this dolphin probably was horny for some female dolphin and made a mistake :)

But it’s still fun to watch :P

lol no they don’t have sex for pleasure becasue if they did, they would mate even when the female is in season. It is rare to see animals mate when the female isn’t in heat, so that’s proof that (most) animals do it for instinctual reproduction purposes. XD Not pleasure lol
