Agnes Chan, UNICEF “ambassador” to Japan and fervent opponent of artistic freedoms, seems to have made quite the career for herself selling her own youthful image as the object of men’s lusts, and this celebrity charisma is surely the only reason she finds herself at the head of an organisation so intent on enforcing its morals on the world.
Below you can see some appealing swimsuit gravure featuring her, taken sometime in the early 1970s, when she was apparently not yet even into her twenties. Interestingly, she is now very keen that such “young idol” images be banned…

Police are said to have raided the Akihabara branch of doujin bookshop Tachibana Shoten, confiscating “suspected loli material”, in circumstances which remain murky.
There is speculation that this is part of an impending crackdown on loli manga, though this is unsubstantiated.

Former junior idol and current gravure idol 倉持結香 / Yuka Kuramochi (17, above), known for an episode in which she subdued a groper on a train with her karate skills, has decried the “extremisation” of young idols, some as young as 6, who can commonly be found wearing thongs and other titillating swimwear (illustrated above).
“I’m mortified when I see these young girls wearing T-backs” she says.
“Wearing T-backs and V-backs, wearing these invasive things… it just makes me think ‘there’s something wrong with this'”.

Could Kento-kun here be not only the world’s youngest shota idol, but also the youngest ever? Previously it seemed that 6-year-old girls were about as young as the trade dealt with, and the youngest boy idols seemed to be about 9, but now it seems those with an interest in boys even younger are well served, as Kento-kun is but 4 years of age.
