Viewers of Valkyria Chronicles can’t help but notice certain curious similarities between the show’s heroine Alicia Melchiott and a certain Kana Minami, of Minami-ke… Mere coincidence?

Martial anime Valkyria Chronicles appears to be pursuing a policy of oppai enlargement in its character design, with several characters receiving augmentation, not least of all Alicia, above.
Whether this is a good liberty to take or not is a matter of personal preference, but most will agree that the actual anime screens coming to light so far (below) seem to hint at Asread-like levels of quality:

Excellent strategic PS3 RPG 戦場のヴァルキュリア / Valkyria Chronicles, due in English in November, is set to receive a manga adaptation, which in something of a surprising move, is to be a BL title focused on homoerotic senpai-kouhai antics.

It is easy to recommend, in fact difficult not to recommend, on every level; for anyone who is a fan of wargames, RPGs or anime, it is a game which is absolutely indispensible. Finally the long awaited RPG 戦場のヴァルキュリア/Valkyria Chronicles has hit the store shelves, at least in Japan. I’m usually not one to get taken by prerelease excitement, but my anticipation was such that I had to get up early (or rather, stay up late) and brave the uncertain Tokyo weather in a jaunt to Bic to pick up a copy. I’ve taken some time out from playing it to provide my first impressions and plenty of detail on the game.
