The adorable antics of Mio, Yui and Mugi have finally ended with the “grand finale” of K-ON!, disappointing many fans with its humdrum campus festival send-off and total lack of any surprise announcements – although one last sight of nekomimi maid Mio does provide them with some consolation.

Gentlemen’s favourite Tsumugi Kotobuki seems to have retained her popularity despite Azunyan’s treacherous recruitment of Mugi 2.0, with her otaku devotees staying true and gleefully celebrating her birthday in the established tradition.
The latest addition to K-ON!’s pantheon of moeblobs is Sumire Saito, who fans have not unreasonably noted is virtually a carbon copy of gentleman’s favourite Tsumugi Kotobuki, save for the caterpillar eyebrows.
The freshly restarted K-ON! manga introduces three new moeblobs for fans to fawn over, which they have obligingly done so with some gusto.
