A Lego otaku indulged his twin passions gigantic battleships and plastic bricks, and six years later this is the result: the WWII super-battleship Yamato, rendered in Lego.
It is in total 6.6m long, a metre in girth at its widest, and weighs 150kg. 200,000 Lego parts went into its construction.

The latest model adaptation of Go Nagai’s iconic mecha hero, Mazinger Z will be sold to lucky collectors for a measly ¥2 million, Bandai has announced.
Dubbed “Urban Material Chogokin Mazinger Z”, it will be made out of titanium and carbon, rather than using the usual die-cast construction.

In an unprecedented case, several Tanaka Works manufactured airsoft guns have been ruled real firearms, and so their possession and sale are subject to immediate ban. Tanaka Works themselves, now apparently an illegal arsenal, have been raided by police with a view to prosecuting.

As you can see from this video, someone has succeeded in creating nothing less than a remote control bicycle riding robot Hatsune Miku, inspired by the robot toy you see in the video.
The video gives plenty of interesting (and visually self explanatory) details on how the robot was made, and you can see the appealing sight of some MikuMiku riding at the end.
