
A Tokyo district court has finally awarded Nintendo the ban on “Majikon” and similar devices, usually used to circumvent copy protection on games for the Nintendo DS.
The ban, long sought by Nintendo and a coalition of five game makers, bans import sales of the devices, and prevents the sale of such stock as is in the region. Major online auction sites now prohibit dealing in the tools.

Current US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently paid a visit to Japan to discuss weighty matters with regional leaders; whilst in Tokyo, she saw fit to visit to the Meiji Shrine and took a moment to take in the morning air (or rather, take in a photo opportunity), resulting in a pose reminiscent of popular Japanese band Glay.

A conflagration erupted at an Akihabara construction injured nine and caused spectacular scenes as emergency personnel and their vehicles packed streets and smoke clogged the air.
Nine construction workers were hospitalized with injuries from smoke inhalation, and one man was severely injured by same.
