A mother and her female friend, both 19, have been arrested for torturing the mother’s 2-year-old daughter for amusement, immersing her in boiling hot water and laughing at the ensuing agony caused.
Their motivation was that they found the infant’s crying and screaming “funny”, as it reminded them of a famous comedian on Japanese TV whose act involved being made to eat boiling hot noodles.
